That’ll do Donkey, that’ll do.
No means any carpenter myself but love building stuff out of scrap wood, great feeling of accomplishment.
Reminds me of my leaving cert construction studies project
One man’s scrap is another man’s treasure
Sturdy and does the job, well done
Fair play to ya! Nice wee cushion on that and you’re laughing
Well, your observation about not being a carpenter is spot on..
It’ll do the job tho.. long may you enjoy it and your hole be free of splinters
Scrab builds are always the most fun.. man, I miss Scrapheap Challenge..
Great work lad
Great job, looks v sturdy.
But over time those legs will wobble, I’d suggest a brace between the legs, but I’m no carpenter either!
I love this stool. Well done.
Now you just need to work on a triangular arse.
Throw a bit of varnish on it and sell it on Donedeal for €300. Rustic and hand-crafter is hot right now.
Clever design. Looks solid. A three legged chair/stool won’t wobble.
I remember junior cert woodwork we had to design and make a stool. I made a 4 legged one that had the *slightest* discrepancy in leg length and gave the smallest wobble. I got 97%. Second highest in class. Another lad got 98% because his was 3 legged, and couldn’t wobble.
Our teacher was impressed.
Tidy work, did you use Ligma on it?
Adidas stool, very nice!
Beautiful 😍
Fair play to you – I hope your first cuppa tea on it is EPIC!
I also made a stool today. This morning actually. Where’s my upvotes?
Asking for splinters in your hole
10 year from now op’s posts will be full of the most masterful furniture ever created
Loves it! Fair play! 👏
Add a cushion! Bit of foam and leather and a staple gun!
Right, off to a craft market in D4, wear a beret and grow a beard if you dont have one, scowl at everyone you see and if anyone enquires about the stool, you refer to it as a piece and ask for 500 euro.
Nice stool. I made this gate, and I’m immensely proud of it.
Put some flat strap from top planks down to the legs with nails.
That way if you move while sitting with all your weight on it (you will) a leg won’t just pop off and put a nail into your nuts.
Fair play! I used to have a small area of decking at the back of my house but after 3-4 years I got tired of slipping on it every time it was wet and pulled it up. I didn’t want to waste the wood planks so I made this out of it. Never hammered a nail before this (I paid a carpenter to fit the decking). Got the plans off the internet and borrowed a chop-saw, bought bolts and fittings from Homebase and made this with my son who was 7 or 8 years old at the time. Took us just one day. Made a little plaque with the date and our names and stuck it on the side. Still use it today, 10 years later. The parasol is from a garden table and chair set that we didn’t use.
