A few days ago a r/ireland user (need to check its ok to use his name first) posted a thread giving away cinema tickets as he’d booked them for the wrong day – already sound as he could have just thrown them out. He sends me the QR code and I thank him, chuffed. Because of the restrictions, the showing is cancelled, pity – but ah well. He, instead of giving up, then refunds the tickets and buys me a voucher for €40 for the cinema. He wanted to hold true to his promise. This random lad on reddit really left an impression and I just wanted to share this story to restore some of your faith in the people on here!

What a lad! Well done that boy
Humanity is not lost after all.
You love to see it. 👍
I hope he’s not named. The selfless act doesn’t need a name. I admire that and his actions
That person broke my ‘soundness meter’
Fair play to you!

Everyone needs to do more like this. Help our fellow humans out and be generous.
