These asylum seekers should be fast tracked through the process and deported if found not to be asylum seekers.

This whole asylum process is one big performative joke. Actual, legitimate asylum seekers must literally be in the single, at most double digits. Yet we have to take in 15,000, do the performance, pay NGOs and others to drag out the claims as long as possible and then let practically all of them stay in the end no matter how frivolous the claim. It’s a joke.
Maybe some of the ones out welcoming them in could put them up no?

But the method used to remove them is an absolute disgrace, and there need to be guarantees it won’t be done again in that manner, because of a serious safety risk.
If you haven’t read the article, they ran a fire drill. Once everybody evacuated the building, they let residents in one by one, apart from these asylum seekers, who instead had their belongings packed up by staff and handed to them.
I think we can all agree that this cannot be the way to handle situations like this, or the next fire alarm will surely be ignored. And it might not be a drill.
Luckily there’s no anti-social behaviour among the Irish people being defended by the far-right ‘patriots’.
Interesting how nobody gave a shit about our prison-like Direct Provision system until the right economic and social circumstances came along.

N I’m not against genuine asylum seekers, but one way or the other if they don’t behave they are not welcome. Passports need to be immediately they enter the terminal building, if they don’t have passports they need to be put back on the plane they came on !
Its a bit mad that you’ve got 40 people deemed too dangerous to allow stay at the transit hub, who are just left to wander the streets instead.
This shows there is a serious issue with policing these centers. Clearly a fire drill was organized so that everyone would be cleared out and they could schedule eith police to be present because there was a number of people not going to be allowed re entry.
