Sakkeren op uw eindgebruikers dat ze niet (willen) meegaan in uw digitale zwendel maar anderzijds niet klaar zijn om het enige “nuttige” dat uit die digitale bakken komt door te sturen naar de leveranciers…
I’m Trogdor Burninates and I work for (r/)Belgium.
I will be collecting that 1 million fine now.
I do accept a payment in recycled copper cable.
Kind regards,

I never get why they don’t need to pay the actual people that are affected by this.
I had to wait more than 5 months to get it fixed and working.
I’m getting real tired of all these “we have other problems to solve first” excuses. Yeah unforeseen stuff happens but a lot of the time the risk of not complying with the rules is intentionally taken. And then we are supposed to feel sorry and show understanding. All the while the same thing repeats and so much extra money is earned while the consumer is the victim. Suppose it is because a timely delivery doesn’t pay extra. But it would be nice to see public services show some more responsibility. We already have enough corporate bullshit.
TWO days late? Really?
Why do those smart meters not have a default app where i can see my usage live? And allow me to set some alarms? You know, give me some tools to adjust my behaviour rather than than tax/punish me when I unknowingly breach certain thresholds. Help me move into the right direction with information ( you’re using too much power ) rather than whips ( you used too much power too days ago. Have fun with your increased energy cost for the next few months ).
This whole system could have been set up as a way to empower the end user and take control of their power consumption.
Now it’s set up as a punishment machine. We collect data and if we see you taking too much energy we’ll bill you extra for X months.
I guess you can buy the extra dongle some other people mentioned. And it’s great that it exists. It should just be something included in the beginning….
It’s like they give you a car without a speed limit indicator and then fine you for driving too fast.
aha, sot it’s Fluvius’ fault I can’t view my monthly usage on the Eneco website?
‘Verhoogde netkosten voor onderhoud’ incoming.
Lol, they are coming to install smart metres today. Guess I’ll still be shit out of luck.
I wonder why the fine is paid by the shareholders, which are intercommunales so WE will pay the fine while WE are being ripped off.
How is that construction even possible?
Well iff you own the goverment a 100 euros it is your problem, if you own the goverment 1 million euros it is their problem.
