My colleagues and I are students at Manchester University and are conducting a study on quality of life on Malta.

We need people who live on Malta to tell us how they feel about life on the island so we can get a wider data range for our studies.

The results are entirely annonymous and automatically submitted upon completion of the google form. Please help us get as many results as possible and upvote this post!

  1. I kind of stopped half way, I think it needs a bit of a tweak. Legal status contains everything except ‘citizen’, employment status doesn’t include ‘full time’…these are basic and expected answers and shouldn’t fall under ‘other’

  2. TLDR: malta is a small overcrowded island. a China style labor camp. extremely puritan when it comes to sex too resulting in many incel men. the greatest achievement for a maltese is to emigrate. 80% of youth want to emigrate. the people are the worst in the world; only better than gypsies

  3. Regarding the question having to wait for an appointment from a GP… We don’t wait, we just go to the nearest pharmacy in the morning or afternoon and the GP is usually there. Takes me 20 minutes to walk the 300 meters there, see him, get medicine and walk back home. He charges €10-15 for a consultation.
Overall medical services are much cheaper compared to South Africa where I am from, and this is comparing private with private. Consultations are half here and a day in a day clinic about 1/4.
Public health services here in Malta is infinitely better in all Regards vs South Africa. It can take a month to just get an MRI or CT scan.

  4. Some genuine feedback on the quality of your survey. You need to improve it, eg you are targeting people in Malta and asking about the experience of foreigners in Malta, but not the other way round. You left out manufacturing as a field of employment.

    Etc etc.

This is like surveys that try to force certain outcomes without even bothering to ask about opposing viewpoints.

  5. Is nobody going to warn them about the extreme negative sentiment that sometimes occurs in this sub, which might create some heavy outlier?
