  1. So, no snap election with this PM any time soon

Conservative Leadership election looking more likely though

  2. So what? He’ll stay in power anyway. Come election time it’s gonna be another person like him hopefully with better haircut.

  3. If only we had a credible opposition…

Seriously though where the fuck is the actual punishment for breaking however many laws theyve broken at this stage.

Breaking the law should be instant dismissal as an mp.

  4. Kinda embarrassing for this country that throughout all of the bullshit he’s put us through it’s a secret party that’s really pissed people off.

Like honestly, did everyone think politicians were following covid regs until now?

    Really?

  5. These latest revelations have cut through because, unlike lies about weirdly-funded flat refurbs, brexit, covid contracts or a cheeky snog in a government office with your mistress you hired with public money.. which are all somewhat more difficult to understand.. “parties” taking place is something almost universally understood, as is a lockdown that prevented them, or other social contact, for everyone else.

  6. There was a video early 2020 of him boasting about shaking hands with coivd patients and there is ‘nothing to worry about’ – That blase attitude probably got a few more people killed unnecessarily but this office party is what got his approval rating low!!

  7. It takes time to change someones view and vote, people will put up with a lot however its been months of idocay at this point

    – Constant flip flopping
    – Weak government with a super majority constantly backtracking on policy
    – More restrictions at christmas
    – More hypocrisy in policy
    – Johnson seems more and more deranged and waffely in his speeches

  8. British public for you, this man has his band of merry toffs have been taking the p*ss since they took control of government, neglecting our most vulnerable 1,000s of deaths with benefit cuts, constant siphoning of public money and under the table privatisation but a Christmas party is what breaks people’s trust… It shows just how selfish British public are to be quite honest. British people don’t care until its something that has directly affected them.

  9. isn’t that the plan?

Boris steps down as PM, election gets called and Gove says ‘new year new me’ and the Tories win by a land slide

  10. I thought he was holding a light saber initially…first time I’ve seen a picture of him and not just instantly cringed…but alas, just my brain playing tricks trying to make him slightly more palatable to look at I guess.

I recall arguing with people on other platforms about the dreadful mistake they made voting him in at the time and some of the things said back then and how amazing he was going to be compared to corbyn the terrorist or whatever. I gotta say, I’m still a little shocked he has far surpassed even my worst expectations but not a lot shocked lol…if I had predicted a pandemic I would have said he would be the first to break rules, act too slow and indecisive and not care if the bodies piled in the streets 🙁 Hate him so very much.

  11. I wonder if all the other corrupt shit he did people thought, “fair do’s I’d do that too if I was in power.” And then the party happened and they suddenly thought, “Well that’s not on, I had to stay at home on Christmas and I didn’t cheat it!”

  12. There are people who APPROVE of Boris Johnson?

I mean I would understand people who think “We can endure this” or “It could be worse”. But “He’s doing a great job”?

  13. Amidst all the anger directed at Johnson, I would just like to highlight that that article also reminds us that our response to Russias threat to Ukraine is being fronted by *Liz Truss.*

Vlad must be doing the ultimate ROFL whenever she opens her mouth on the subject.

  14. If BoJo stays in office after all of this, could he at least wear a big red nose and rainbow wig so we know how much of a fucking clown he is?

  15. I saw him present Have I Got News for You one time. I couldnt believe the British public voted for that absolute stupid, spoiled and entitled cunt.

  16. It won’t last. Folks middle aged and older pretty much flat refuse to admit they backed a bad horse. They’ll get pissed off for a week or two, then it’ll be back to ignorant business as usual.

  17. I really hope he stays as Tory leader. The party is the problem, not the man and Boris is our best hope of ensuring they don’t get elected again.

  18. The problem is ***if*** he gets booted it’s going to be the usual Tory party BS of “blame everything on him, it’s nothing to do with us” so they will get away with all the deaths from Covid, all their corruption, everything they have done wrong in the past will be conveniently ignored / brushed under the carpet while they and their compliant media herald them as a new, clean party that’s separate from the old party, while continuing to do all the very same acts, self enrichment, NHS privatisation, tax cuts for the wealthy, destruction of human rights, banned protests…. and the majority of the public will lap it all up while they call a new GE once they feel comfortable.

It’s all just a fucking con and abuse of the country as ever

  19. This makes me so mad….. at the public. All of the at best, ridiculous and worst, downright sociopathic shit he has pulled over the years and the people decide to get upset over a fucking Christmas party.

  20. I said at the time Boris coming out of Hospital was a bad moment for the country and I stand by it.

Boris not recovering would have been the best solution for the U.K

  21. I’d honestly rather see another 12 months of chaos with Boris than any of the alternatives. Labour aren’t in a position to demand OR win an election, and the idea of a competent Gove government with an 80 seat majority and 3 years to go until an election is beyond terrifying.

Not sure why so many on the left are hoping he goes.

  22. Why? Nothing he has done recently was in any way out of character.

How has anyone got to this point without realising who he is?

  23. Is frightening. Always has been. I hold out a lot of hope for our sons and daughters. I hope they will make right. There is absolutely no place for the heartless and money driven Conservatives in this day and age. Capitalism is failing. Failing in terms of genocide. Time for a very big rethink. The Earth is where we need to concentrate our efforts on. Treat it as a war and maybe big money will listen. Survival on a global level. If we had done this when it was first accepted back in 1972 then we would be leaps and bounds ahead of the disaster we now face.
