Lithuania needs to look at development pathways. Improve techniques in children and being located in a UEFA nation, it is inevitable they will get better.
It is a pretty simple game to play . But all hope is not lost, soccer style ‘football’ is only one of the many flavours of foot ball. Maybe the large, heavy builds of Lithuanian men is more suited to rugby football?
I saw Lithuania play Sweden last week in rugby football in Sualiai(what’s the deal with strobe lights?) They played okay, but the field was a quagmire and some poor kicking cost them the win. They should have carved up Sweden. They allow men to wear pony tails in their army. Bunch of pansies!
Who knows, in twenty years Lithuania rugby could join the Six Nations playing regularly at Twickenham, Murrayfield and Stade Francais.
