Do you think this is accurate?

  1. Very accurate, but if I can give my 2 cents on this…

Different work culture it very trivial, depends a lot on the working sector.

Also potential misunderstandings sounds to me overrated. I don’t think you can mention like that, because at the end both are western countries in a way

  2. > Do you think this is accurate?

Highly depends on where you are and how you behave.

What are your own thoughts on the answer that GPT gave you?

What is best and worst from what it said?

  3. Longer work hours?? How many hours is in Canada? Here are 40h/week.

Salary depends on the cost of living. If Canada’s is higher than Spain, obviously they will need more money to balance. Not the only reason tho, but the most general.

  4. I know an Edmonton guy living in the Netherlands, and based on what he mentions about Canada, I think another large difference is how cities are walkable

  5. You earn more money in Canada and can buy more things with the money you buy. The lower cost thing is a double edged sword. You´re going to earn less money and more likely to be unemployed in Spain. There´s also much bigger wilderness in Canada, like twenty-fold compared to Spain, which is a small country.

If either of those two things are your jam, go with Canada. For everything else I´d pick Spain.

Better climate allows you to do many more things outdoors throughout the year and that alone makes you live longer, as does the fresh produce and the culture of socialising with people and strong family and friends support networks. And it´s all facilitated by incredible public transport and urban layouts where you can walk everywhere.

Before I knew better I would have suggested Anglo societies are less prone to corruption and better organised than Spain. But if Canada is anything like the UK… I no longer necessarily think this is so evidently true.

  6. Chat gpt always say that the Spanish weather is a pro but 40 c° in summer can’t be never a good point

  7. I did the opposite, move to Canada from Spain. Best decision ever for my career and my finances. Worst decision for the lifestyle!

  8. Pretty accurate, but “…bureaucracy can be challenging…” is a huge understatement. Then again, I suppose GPT can’t say “massive pain in the ass”, so yeah.

  9. Lower cost of living?, yes but you are getting a less money.

Beautiful beach?, the beaches aren’t the strong point of Spain to be honest (and europe in general).
