What are those white tubes attached above Leoapd’s barrel used for?
The Tiger project is interesting, it’s kind of like a poor man’s version of Apache, with a lot of one-off versions, and as a result the cost of upgrading them in German service would not be offset much by upgrades done in Spain or France, and the fleet is currently suffering from low availability. The last machines were delivered in 2017 IIRC, so it’s not exactly an old thing. Germany did file in a quote request for Apaches, but they are not buying them (likely due to budgeting issues, even with the new military budget), which leaves German military in an interesting place.
So what are we naming this new war machine. Something unique and memorable I take it?
Germany: “…Tiger.”
That helicopter is also immune to EMP pulses
