I really don’t understand why people aren’t paying this. Its revenue they will get it eventually, theres no penalty for paying in monthly installments it just makes no sense
We couldn’t pay our LPT on time because the land registry wasn’t completed. So we never got a unique ID. It took them almost 1.5 years, I’ve no idea why, but we chased our solicitors like crazy until finally one day it was just sorted. About a week later we got a “warning” letter which really pissed me off. Of course we paid right away – we had been trying for months.
I paid it and they still wrote to me. I’ve emailed to see what the craic is and they appear to just be ignoring it. Cowards.
Anyway, if I’m anything to go by, I’d say a good few of those 150,000 warnings are in error.

Switched jobs in August last year. LPT was being deducted by payroll each month. I never thought to update it when I moved jobs. Assumed it’d just still be deducted, never thought about it really. It wasn’t being deducted, so I got a warning about being in arrears.

Sent me threatening letters because I didn’t pay in 2021. I knew I had so dug up records. Sure enough there it was. They then done the same thing again saying it was 2020. Found that payment also. Shower of pricks. Very incompetent.
