😂😂 I have no words ! This is absolute gold tho…. If Xi ever saw this …. He thought the nickname “PoohBear” was bad !!
Images like these are great hit in Non-Western world, may be if we get one of those PM who are blonde bombshell beauties like Johnson to kiss our leaders ass, we would be happy too.
100%
Sad to see how he had such a strong start in his presidency then his true colours started to show with the invasion of Ukraine. France, still to this day, per capita, overall has done very little in lethal aid for Ukraine. They left NATO before. They really like to play the unpredictable, unreliable card yet they’ll call others out, shame others out every chance they get.
He brown noses so hard to Xi and Putin, you can literally smell it from across the table.
Hey, you gotta build that strategic autonomy somehow!
🤣This captures the moment perfectly.
Average /r/europe user’s understanding of diplomacy.
Probably on par with the average /r/europe user’s understanding of finance.
I am not a fan of Macron, but I want to give the affair some time for matters to be clarified. People should not look at the immediate results or declarations to decide whether a leader’s visit has any effect on the other country’s military and alliances policy or not.
r/Europe and journalists berated Scholz much for his previous visit to China as well as the business team he brought, but whatever Scholz has done, apparently China does not feel comfortable with German presence, as the Globaltimes (the CCP’s main mouthpiece) has continuously been berating Japan for inviting Germany (and other “external forces”) into the Asia-Pacific trying to protect Taiwan.

So when the FDP deputy chairman Johannes Vogel said that “we think the economic dimension of avoiding a horrible scenario is something we can effectively bring on the table” (when talking about German’s role in Taiwan-China relationship), I take that as Germany has enough technological-economic leverage over China/the situation to set some conditions for the sake of Taiwan’s security (and not that “we’re here to make money from dealing with both China and Taiwan” as some redditors obviously think).
The best part of this is the fact that he was having giant banquets, giant tours, and giant photo shoots in the palace of his fellow king, while half of France is in mass protest over a bill he forced through. Is this how state visits are supposed to be lol? I don’t remember Scholz’s visit being like this. You’d think he would tell the Chinese to tone down the fanfare but no, gotta have those fragrant teas. The whole thing gives off an aristocratic vibe. Just shows how out-of-touch these elites(not just French ones) can be.
