I’m utterly perplexed. Been travelling around Norway and have never seen this before. What is it? What is it meant for??

  1. Bathtub, Bidet, Toilet. I’m guessing the bidet is the confusing one? Wouldn’t say they’re common in Norway at all tbh.

  2. The middle one is a bidet. It is mainly meant for washing your rear end. It is very uncommon to have one these days. My grandparents had one. My grandad always washed his feet before going to bed, and after his back got ruined he installed one so he could easily wash his feet without having to bend over.

  3. Where did you find such a horror in Norway?

I couldn’t imagine that you can buy such ugliness, not saying that someone can actually buy it. What is the name of the color? A “Morning stool after beetroot dinner”?

  4. Everyone should have a bidet, tp ain’t enough, they are more common in warmer countries, you know cause sweat + unclean behind

  5. While most people here are not wrong in saying it’s a bidet.
As my grandma told me these were popular to install in the late 60s early 70s as a washtub for infants, particularly in larger families.

  6. What are you doing in my grandparents old house? It’s a bidet, or the funny fountain we brushed our teeth in as children (it was never used as a bidet).

  7. No doubt, so odd to see a bathtub in a house in Norway! You fill it with—preferably warm—water, and then get in. The middle one is for bathing your kitty.

  8. Oh… after reading other comments I see the correct answer is “a bidet”.

And there was me thinking OP was making a sarcastic comment about the bathroom colour scheme.

  10. Budet are in most of the southern european bathrooms and it’s NOT for cleaning your assess. It’s for female hygiene. That’s why you can eat a southern european woman and they’ll mostly be clean down there.
