3 million ethnic Poles died in WW2 according to official government report from 1947. IPN publication from 2009 points at a number of 2,770,000 ethnic Poles lost.
This is not including Polish citizens of different ethnicities e.g. Polish Jews.

Would be interesting to see the Soviet number split up into the modern day countries (Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Russia etc) to avoid equalling the former USSR with today’s Russia (something the West has done for too long).
Don’t call non Jewish people victims of the holocaust. They were victims of the Nazis. The holocaust was very specific in its targeting of Jews.

People with disabilities. I think I saw a scene in Schindler’s list where they walk in a hospital en shoot all of them. I’ve never seen any articles or stories what happened to the disabled/sick people. Does anyone have a documentary or article about it?

I’m probably not naming a bunch of other issues with the post. This desperately needs some flair by the mods that it’s misleading at best.
Many thousands of those responsible for these atrocities escaped without punishment.
We can only hope there exists an eternal hell where they will finally face justice.
I used work with a guy who would question the number of Jews killed (not doubting the holocaust just the number) the shear logistics/practicality of, finding, gathering, killing, and disposal of 6m people he found implausible.
I never knew what to say back, when you look at the numbers; 6m in 5 years, 1.2m per year, 100,000 people per month, or 3287 per day it’s staggering, and thats assuming consistent progress and not a bellcurve/improvement in efficiency.
The shear scale of the killing is incredible, and that’s just the Jewish people, adding in the millions of others Romani, Serbs, Poles, disabled, gay, other minorities etc its impossible for me to fathom
Why label people based o religion? That is rude and unequal to other victims that fell under “others”. Regardless of your beliefs, you are still equal to the rest and the other way around. A victim is a victim.
