New Bulgarian PM proposes ‘very fast process’ to lift North Macedonia veto

  1. tl;dr

Bulgarian election crisis and nationalistic election posturing has ended ^(for now.) We finally have a regular government and North Macedonia will finally receive a pragmatic route towards dropping of veto based on:

    * Stopping official state entertainment of blatant anti-Bulgarian narratives.
    * Stopping the reinvention and theft of Bulgarian history by ridiculous historical revisionisms (eg: Taking self-professed Bulgarian historical figures and saying they are 100% pure Macedonian and have nothing to do with Bulgaria) – again entertained at a state level.
    * Taking action to prevent discrimination of N Macedonian citizens with a Bulgarian identity.

We signed a treaty that promised this a few years ago, we want it implemented.

  2. Hopefully by demonstrating that mature and rational behavior leads to EU accession, this can also indirectly help to convince the other former Yugoslav states to calm the fuck down a bit.

  3. North Macedonians want to be in the same union with Bulgaria, but at the same time falsify and steal Bulgarian history too. As long as “Bulgarian” is used as a literal insult in North Macedonia, they will be vetoed:[https://youtu.be/O5htPtXPx1c](https://youtu.be/O5htPtXPx1c)
