As well they should. The veto of a law passed by the Scottish Parliament is a serious threat to the Parliament as an institution.
Whether that law is about something politically exciting, or something politically mundane, the response of the Scottish Government ought to be the same – to challenge the veto and seek to maximise the powers and authority of the Scottish Parliament.
