King Charles’ visit to France postponed amid protests | King Charles III

  1. He is a simple of largesse and would definitely not send a good message to the French public. His coronation is already causing anger here for the same reason. An un-elected head of state that has never had to worry about money or retirement is only going to make people even more angry than they are. In a time where working people are being squeezed across the world, Charles might find that people are less receptive to him than they were his mother.

  2. This is outrageous behaviour by the French. They are protesting the retirement age going up to 64 – by that age poor old Charles still had a decade to go before he even started his job, let alone be able to think about retiring.

With that kind of workshy attitude, it’s no wonder the French haven’t even got a royal family.

  3. I don’t recognise him as my king ! His sons being promoted to prince of Wales and duke of Edinburgh !!! I didn’t see those jobs posted on indeed or I would have applied

  4. I’ve been in France for the past few months and the riots are getting quite bad now (not that I disagree with them). Last night they occupied the local bank and set fire to the town hall. The police here are also being very heavy handed and I got my first dose of tear gas on Wednesday night. I’ve also seen them dish out a few beatings.

And it blows my mind that we have an unelected head of state making state visits in the 21st century. I know we are a servile people but surely we need to start saying enough is enough.

I’m personally embarrassed that we have a king.

  5. I don’t understand how it came to this.

First, Charles, an adulterer and divorcee, will head the Church of England, who has a strict policy against having an adulterer or divorcee head the Church.

2nd, Camilla, who has no Royal lineage, is also an adulterer and divorcee, whose promiscuous history is well documented, both with Prince Charles and others, will become Queen. Requiring people to honor and curtsy her.

I was shocked that Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth, broke her word to the British people, having previously vowed that Camilla would never be Queen Consort, later asked the British people to accept Camilla as Queen Consort.

Then, adding insult to injury, Charles takes it a step further and declares that Camilla will be Queen Camilla, not Queen Consort.

In effect, cramming Camilla down our throats whether we like it or not. Personally, I could never curtsy to a woman of her “sluttish” background. Nor, could I ask my Daughters, of high moral compass, to honor Camilla.
She is not worthy to wear the title or the Crown.

3rd. King Charles’s obscene wealth, owning 20+ Castles, countless Luxury Cars, priceless Artwork, etc. is a slap in the face to the British people who are struggling with the ridiculously high costs of food, housing for their families, who cannot afford heating fuel or Petrol.

Spoiled, endulged Charles, demanding that his bedroom and toilet, including his toilet seat, be brought with him on his travels and reconstructed to an exact replica of his home location. Is this a man I can honor? No, its not.

4th, then, as the Royal Family shuttles from one Castle to another, dripping in Diamonds, Pearl’s and other precious jewels, supposedly to support charitable efforts. When, in truth, if they would sell off their vast properties, they could provide 100 years of funding for those charities.

I simply do not understand the Church of England or Parliament allowing such bending of centuries old rules, strong tradition and honor.

Her Majesty the Queen will never be replaced in our hearts. Her commitment to duty is matched only by hard working, dedicated Princess Royal Anne.

I believe Charles and Camilla will be the downfall of the Monarchy.

I believe the only way to save the Monarchy, is to advance William and Kate, breathing honor, dignity, normalcy, new life into its lungs.

Britain deserves a Monarchy who is in touch with its people and real-life issues.
