Male to female suicides ratio in Europe

  1. I wonder if there’s more recent maps on the ratio, preferably post-pandemic?
I would assume things have changed a lot.

A map of just female ratio from 2019:

A map of just male ratio from 2019:

  2. It is alarming that 3x more male suicides than female suicides is marked with green color.

It should be red or some other “we don’t accept this situation” color.

  3. It’s worth mentioning, that this study shows the ratio of **successful** suicide attempts. It’s estimated similar amount of men and women in Poland attempt on ending their lives, but because men in general use more effective methods (e.g. hanging, jumping on rails, and etc.), they die more frequently.
