I lost a lot of respect for Simon McCoy with that move.
I also now understand why the BBC doesn’t let news presenters talk about their own politics. He’d always seemed this jovial and pretty neutral news dude, but he knew what the aims and the leanings of the organisation he was joining were.
Admittedly he couldn’t have predicted how spectacularly amateurish and failure prone it would be, but he still knew what he was joining. He’s ended up on the same pile as Fiona Bruce. Disappointing.
Is that still going on? I hadn’t heard about in ages.
It seems to have just slipped under the radar, even this site doesn’t talk about it much anymore.

The time to launch Fox News was back in the 90s when Murdoch did it.
It might look like a healthy market, but Brexit/Trump were the nadir of that right wing opinionated BS. It’s launching a new product for an ever aging population.

Doesn’t someone have to give a fuck about who you are before you get cancelled by the “woke brigade”? Someone should tell McCoy and these other nobodies that there’s no need to uproot to GB News because you need to have a reputation first, in order for it to be at risk. Just a thought.

It’s almost as if being an open bigot is bad for the reputation.
ITV are just awful, I’ve found GB news to be a bit of fresh air.
Who’s funding it anyway? Fox News in the USA is a cesspit of lies, conspiracy theories and faked controversies that is demonstrably more cancerous than any other medium (including social media) in perverting any semblance of truth. Of peddling antivax stories while the proprietors took their shots.
I wish all such channels a painful death and for their funding sources to take their place in hell.
Oh, does GB news still exist? I thought they’d have closed up shop after Andrew Neil left under a black cloud, rendering it even more irrelevant than it had been while he was still there.
Remember when he was the guy people liked for his sarcastic mocking of non stories about royals waving.
