Dublin-Galway is 185km, imagine doing it in 1hr. Not cheap though 48 euros. Cork-Dublin in 1 hour. The problem would still be that you end up outside the city centre where train stations should be. To be fair, other than the speed I wouldn’t mind trains that don’t feel like being on a ship in a middle of a storm.
