A good change but how about the unnecessary plastic packaging, like the single wrapped cucumbers for example.
What if (ear me out) they made a small menu on their automated registers to ask if the customer wants one?
Pack it in boys, migros just solved climate change. 😎
I was wondering why my gas station switched to blue receipts, now I know.
I just use SubitoGo and keep all the receipts in my app. Convenient and environment-friendly.
It would be great if you could you could simply opt out of a receipt. This is already the case in the Coop checkout machines. I wrote to them about it and they told me that it was an option with the Cumulus account. Two problems:
1. This requires you to have the motivation to dig through their horrible website and find the option. I put it off for months because it wasn’t a priority and when I finally got around to it, it was painful to find. I am a digital native and am fully at ease with computers, and it was still difficult. I wonder how many people out of those who do not want the tickets have taken the time to go through this.
2. I sometimes don’t have my cumulus card but still don’t want the damn ticket.
I heard that they will change this sometime, but in the meantime thousands upon thousands of waste receipts will be generated. There are entire trash bins full of these receipts at the Migros I go to, and they don’t seem to care. If this trivial change can’t be done quicker at ONE supermarket, we are truly fucked as a species when it comes to tackling the big problems. Thanks Migros for making me lose my hope in humanity’s future.
Does that website have any cooperation with Blick etc? I have noticed before that their articles are sometimes a 1:1 transalations of articles of other publications.
Who needs all theses receipts anyway?
finally!
Sounds like a good thing. But this explains why the exit of the selfcheckout would not open when i scaned the recipe. I had to try it 3 times till it finally worked.
Yes, some migros have a locked exit for self checkout and you can only unlock it with scaning your recipe.
And at the same time they now made it unavoidable to actually print it out, because you need to scan it at the exit to be able to leave the store.
So much more waste now.
Reads more like interims solution to eventually do away with it all together out of fiscal reasons. I do not know why white is bad but blue is ok environmentally, they both seem like waste to me in the end they could just print receipts on normal, recycled paper with a different printer.
Lidl Suisse have had these blue receipts for years.
What an absolutely pointless exercise.
yeah… sure.
Could they stop sending everyone their weekly magazine nobody reads and immediately throws away ?
