  1. I wonder if the West/the EU will regret not encouraging more of this. Seems like a perfect opportunity to harm the Russian economy, reduce the effectiveness of conscription and entice skilled workers.

  2. But according to Russian officials the GDP is increasing despite falling oil and gas revenue. Diminishing sale of goods and services to foreign countries. A drop in available workers from war, death and emigration.

    Something does not add up.

  3. Those 1.3M don’t pay their taxes. It’s a huge loss for Russia on all accounts. One media reported that some sources told Putin himself feels humiliated by the lines to leave Russia when he called for “protection of the motherland”. Which is very satisfying too. We may never know how he truly feels but the amount of those who wanted no part in this war was indeed humiliating for his government.

  4. This is an invasion of another sort and we really need to be prepared for this in Europe. The problem is wherever russian citizens are, Putin then declares there’s discrimination, russophobia, cancelling their culture and cancelling their language, and how he must rescue them. This is what makes it so dangerous and not just the russians living in Europe that are kremlin operatives and holding pro-war demos and denouncing the EU and their host countries.

This is a mess, but where’s Pegida now? Oh, that’s right: they’re for the war and for the Kremlin and always have been.

  5. Take some children from Ukraine, buy some from Belarus. Increase retirement age to 75. Work force problem solved. /s
