Noice. Took a while but the experience gained even through the setbacks will be helpful for new projects.
Hopefully we won’t get more unexpected delays
Best managed French project be like:
For at least 15 years now finns have debated, which happens first. Nato membership or olkiluoto 3 completion (or hell freezing over or pigs flying). Nato membership just beat olkiluoto 3 on the finish line by about a month!
Massive mistake.
So it’s the largest reactor but not the largest nuclear power plant in Europe?
>Nuclear power remains controversial in Europe, primarily due to safety concerns
I would have said we are past the safety concerns for most people. On the other hand the massive cost and time overruns in building nuclear are a major problem. Olkiluoto and Flamville are a troubling examples for the future of nuclear power in Europe.

Fantastic news – I hope that as it comes online, a polluting powerstation can be taken offline.
Fantastic.
Now, how do we convince Germany to shut down it’s polluting power stations, and bring it’s nuclear systems back up online?
german here. don’t know what to say… germany used to be more open to technology and more pragmatic.
*Angry Habeck noises*
OL3 wasn’t late. He was just waiting for the time when he would be needed the most.
Great news.
The EPR is a marvel of technology. As a III+ generation reactor there is no comparison in the world today in terms of quality and safety.
It took a lot of effort. Congratulations Finland, you are the first to release that gem.
Nobody here talking about the price per MWh…
About ten times higher than solar smh
Mildly interesting: The local domain olkiluoto.fi (by the name of the power plant) is registered by a local Greenpeace organization 😀
