I am surprised York center isn’t one already to be honest. Just a great place — not just the cathedral, the shambles and the walls. But other things like the smaller historic places — Dick Turpin’s grave, the birthplace of Guy Fawkes and the nice, old, historic pubs.
This will be a nightmare for York and the people living and working there.
I am once again calling for either Soho House or the West Mids canals to be put on the list.
The area needs a massive museum. I will not elaborate further.
Birkenhead Park?! I remember always hearing about it being a dodgy place.
Hahahaha. Fair enough. It’s just funny to see the crazy amount of more impressive and more significant to world history sites in other parts of the world that are nowhere near getting UNESCO status (because their governments either can’t afford to bid or just suck too much to do it).
