The thing I love about the French is that they know that being a patriot is to love the Republic rather than the man or woman leading it at that point in time. They respect the fabric of their nation not the idiot in charge. And mourning the burning of the de facto national Cathedral is a part of that. They can sing, and they can riot. That’s a skillset
I’m not a religious person. Not at all. But I get goosebumps every time I see this video.
