Looked a lot cleaner and appealing back then then what it is now. Frederick and Blessington street have to be two of the filthiest streets in Dublin nowadays.

Can one assume that most of the houses in this photo were tenements, considering they were eventually demolished in favour of a Herbert Simms social housing development?
Do that walk everyday to work in the Temple..
