Environmentalists in Berlin protest against the government’s decision to close nuclear power plants

  1. Sadly they are an unusual exception. Most German environmentalists bitterly fought nuclear energy for decades and they had their “victory demonstration” on the other side of the gate.

  2. I would join them if only our electricity bill hadn’t been forced up by them shutting down the nuclear power plants. Oh wait

  3. Environmentalists are weird. One day they protest against nuclear power other days they protest for it SMH.

  4. “Only Nixon could go to china”

    THE COUNTRY:

Conservatives: Shut down Nuclear powerplants and research. Open boarders to migrants.

Green Party: Invest into Fracking LNG terminals, kill agricultural technology developement for more sustainable food production

Social Democrates : Create the biggest low wage sector in the EU with a hefty wealhtgap between middle and “lower class..”

Liberals: removing boundries to spy on citizens (fighting encription and digital anonymity), fighting for monopolies in different secotors, crying for subsidies…

Left Wing Party: Support war on Ukraine.

  5. Don’t worry, Olkiluoto-3 kicked off regular output today. Germans can buy from Sweden what Finland won’t need anymore.

  6. Merkel sacrificed Germany’s NPPs to win state elections against the Greens in Baden-Württemberg. She lost. Literally gambled away key infrastructure for political gain.

  7. yes, finally some protest that makes sense. unfortunately it is decades too late and when coal plants are closed, we will rely on imported electricity – and we won’t care if it is green, grey or carbon from Poland.
