Oh I member. They planned a very interesting segment on that day to bait us to tune in. Then this video started a short while after the fake interesting segment had started.
It was an interesting evening with phone calls and stuff.
I watched it at the time. First it did appear with the logo of a program that people should have been able to identify as not being an actual news program. Then they added a text that said “this is not a fiction”, so again you’d expect people to get the reference. And finally they turned it into “this is a fiction”.
I thought it was well done and never understood why people were so worked up about it. But ok they are not supposed to overestimate their audience, and if enough people didn’t get it, their bad i guess.
it wasn’t a little news program. they really had to put a lot of effort to make this.
i don’t get why RTBF will spent money doing this hoax.
