Really must have seen the most barefaced lie in history at the time.
I am starting to think the garden centre are behind the theft and are doing all this for the publicity.

If I happened to own an exact replica of something valuable that was stolen, I’d either hide it until the furore died down, or I’d parade it daily and in as many different places.
How many giant gorilla statues are there lying about these days? More than one per town seems a bit much.
