Yesterday in the evening, German main power source was coal, followed by biomass and gas. After shutting down nuclear plants only 40% of the German mix was considered low-carbon polluting. Therefore Germany has become second biggest energy-polluter in the EU after Poland.

5. You know what you use to get rid of nuclear waste? Barrels of concrete and 30000+ years of careful storage.

   We can deal with the carbon footprint of this power mix by reducing it.
   We can’t deal with the infinite cost of nuclear.

    I thin this statement may be misleading for other people, because it spuds like Germany would produce less CO2 (and other bad stuff) than PL, which is obviously not true, because of economy size. Germany +/- produce twice as much CO2 (but they have of course much, much bigger economy).

17. Maybe we should post this everyday, maybe some people who are ok with the nuclear phaseout in Germany in this sub would change their mind.

    Even when the wind is strong and the sun is bright they emit more than France by the way, even though of course the emissions are much lower than this
