Fastnet Lighthouse as seen from Cape Clear island on Easter Sunday

  1. How are the roads in that part of the country? Stupid question, I’m mad to see fastnet but I’ve been in an accident on a narrow road where I wasn’t in the wrong,(long story short I was driving on a country road, guy came around a narrow bend on a road I was v familiar with in Co Clare, smashed my car at speed, and as the road was narrow there was nothing I could do, the issue was resolved inmy favour, but I’m left with a sort of Anxiety about narrow/ county roads)
I’m wondering how bad this would be for me given my own specific circumstances.

  2. Stunning shot, never new about cape clear before, will have to schedule it in for a road trip sometime in the future looking on google the photos are all gorgeous.

  3. Just for the folk who are worried about driving that road or taking a road trip this shot is from an island – there’s no car ferry so you walk, cycle or get a taxi. The roads on Cléire are very, very quiet and you won’t have much trouble from oncoming traffic etc! And it is one of the jewels of Ireland. Go if you get a chance. If it’s too stormy or you don’t like boat trips go to Sherkin – a few minutes by boat from the same harbour that serves Cape Clear (Baltimore) but also a different world.
