I used to live in a dodgy area and occasionally that would happen, there would be a big checkpoint set up like this at short notice, and they’d all disappear again when they stopped the person they were waiting for.
Finglas? Seems normal to me.
Seeing as it was yesterday, presuming the screenshot was taken today, it was probably a driver check point on the bank holiday Monday morning.
They often do these. They will bag loads of people, check for tax, insurance, licence etc.
Sometimes there’s one guy under this bridge – we joke he’s being punished being sent under the bridge by himself.
The speed van parks in an unused entrance by the old Premier Dairies /opposite the cars home up Finglas Rd.
The check points are often sited outside the Glasnevin cemetery.
Something road tax, something real criminals, something joints.
