i think this will go down in history as one of the most gripping dramas in the annals of mankind. Of all the walls in history, the Great Wall of China, the Berlin Wall, the Wailing Wall, this wall will surely rank among the most famous. I read the whole saga with baited breath, wondering what the decision of the Planning Department might be, and I was staggered by the earth-shattering conclusion, where he was told to reduce it by a few feet. Truly remarkable.

Why would you spend £5000 but not the £150 for planning permission. He’d probably have got the permission if he just applied like normal people.
