Background to this : there was a massive overavailability of potatoes, which caused a price crash, and very few potatoes planted for this year’s crop because farmers couldn’t afford it or couldn’t find seed potatoes.
This is basically rebooting the normal planting cycle with a fresh infusion of quality seed potatoes.
50kg of seed to each farmer isn’t much btw

I always think it mad that we don’t seem to grow our own seed potato in Ireland. These are from the Netherlands and France, Scotland also seems to produce a bit.
