It is quite difficult to find a good e-bike in Denmark for some reason. But I found these 2 Mustang bikes:

The cheaper one has front-wheel motor and the more expensive one has center motor. Is it worth 2k more or they are not as much different? Anyone has tried it?

Any other recommendations for <15.000 DKK budget?

  1. Most people recommend a crank motor over a wheel motor, but what it might be worth to you is subjective.

    I am currently renting an e-Bike from Swapfiets to see if it is for me.
    If you are in doubt, that is an option before laying down big money.

  2. Just FYI supermarket bikes are extremely low in quality and wear and tear will be visible very quickly. Better pay a couple of thousands more and get a bike that lasts you instead of a trash bike you will need to pay service on constantly.

    Try going to a bike shop instead of a grocery store.

  5. I have a lot of experience with e-biking since 2018.

    For your budget I recommend going with e-fly, who are using well constructed Bafang centre motor with torque sensing technology.

  6. Go to geekbuying com. They have different options and very good priced. They ship from EU so no taxes and quick delivery. I myself have one i bought for 5000 DKK and very pleased.

  7. Go with the Middrive, but you need to take care of the battery,, read up on how to maintain it properly or you’ll have to buy a new battery in 2ys
    Btw, save some bucks,, get a membership In Coop and wait for the discount, they are on sale regularly
