I’m sorry, the families of the government are too busy making huge amounts of money by keeping The Devil’s Lettuce illegal while selling it to other countries. It’s not for you plebs in Britain.
We don’t need more research at this point, there’s plenty. we need less corrupt politicians.
End Our Pain is funded by Kingsley Capital Partners, the financial backers of Equinox International, a small pharma start up producing cannabis based medication. Beware the astro turf.
They’ve done the research and are currently making millions off the product (overseas, sorry you’re not allowed to have it)
Pretty sure the research has already been done. The problem is the willingness to accept it.
Come on now, we all know UK drug policy is made by Daily Mail headlines, not actual research.
Surprisingly enough the biggest issue here is supply for clinical trials – companies are willing to make it in the UK, but don’t seem so willing to make it available to purchase for clinical trials. And until those are done NHSE can’t approve it’s use.
They may do if sunak wife has any share in a company that dose research with it
Cannabis is for working class, the Tories only care about cocaine.
It’s disgusting how much money the Tories and Starmer have made from the war on drugs. They don’t want to fund medical cannabis research because they’re afraid of losing their precious profits. It’s all about money and power for them, they don’t care about the people who suffer because of their policies. We need to hold them accountable for their greed and corruption.
It’s because you can’t patent these plants, ministers aren’t getting sweeties from their donors to allow this this, and are actively blocking it, including its sale citing its recreational use, whilst alcohol it perfectly acceptable.
People who want safe effective therapeutic benefits such as pain relief for arthuris , anti emetic and anti nausea for chemo, and anti epileptic effects are denied to those suffering needlessly.
We recently saw how keen they were to force us to have untested and dangerous medicines 💉 recently.
When will the government start working for the people?
The gov needs to leave folk alone to live their lives as they see fit. The covid debacle is proof, if we ever needed it, that their only focus is to make money at everyone else’s expense. I should be able to grow, smoke, take, ingest anything I want at whatever time I want without some bellend interfering day in, day out.
They need to make it available on the NHS. Currently it’s legal privately for a range of medical conditions but unfortunately, not everyone can afford those extortionate prices. Worse part is even when medically approved we can’t grow it ourselves so that private companies can make money. It’s disgusting
One of the more interesting things in recent years regarding cannabis is that under Johnson there were a number of surveys done regarding how it’s viewed among the Conservative party electorate. The theory at the time was that he’d put forward legalisation in an attempt to attract the younger voters they were losing at the time. I’m still still curious as to how much truth there was to this, and whether Sunak will consider offering the same to attract voters, regardless of if he plans to honour it or not.
It should just be made legal full stop.
Only if you marry a tory seems you can grow loads of weed.
Anyone else gets locked up .
Welcome to backwards Britain .
I saw a consultant who told me a prescription for it would cost me £250 or I could just get it from a dealer Nuff said really
We don’t need research. The research has been done. I always find it so fucking weird that we commission our own research studies when Americans have already done the study. British science isn’t different. Science and data is science and data and it’s a waste of time campaigning for research, campaign for them to listen to the research and abandon the propaganda. Never gonna happen though because the red and blue establishment parties think weed is evil or some nonsensical shit.
British Sugar won’t like this, far too much money to be had with the tight, obviously it’d be unbecoming of me to call it a monopoly, market they participate in.
Legal medical cannabis farming is proliferating in many countries, including the UK. In fact, according to a report by the International Narcotics Control Board, in 2019, the UK produced over 320 tonnes of legal cannabis: more than any other country.5 Sept 2022
Maybe the government should abandon their out of date closed minded-ness and make the stuff legal.
Don’t worry though, being a fuctioning alcoholic is perfectly socially acceptable…
Hasn’t a new British company just listed on lse with the full contract of supplying the NHS with medical mj . I think if you dig around, it’s run by tories ( see tressa mays hubby)
