Looking for some help interpreting some of the bureaucratic language in this letter. Backstory : I applied for confirmation of citizenship in November of 2020. My Polish is pretty poor but my mother is from Poland so she was able to translate it for me. (I’m seeking citizenship with the hopes of improving my Polish and having the freedom to go to school and work in Europe). However, I’m still pretty confused as to what the next steps are (do nothing and wait, physically visiting the office, contacting one of the numbers listed ?) . It seems like they set a deadline for the decision at the end of July because they were waiting on info from an office in the small town that my mother is from but I’m unsure if that means that if they don’t receive that info from them within the set deadline then I would need to start the process over again. I’m also not sure which office I would need to contact to get some clarification . Anyone have any experience with citizenship paperwork process that can provide some insight?

No actions required. They are checking something with the Silesian Voivodership Administration and expect to be able to get the decision till the end of July. The key word here is “expect”.
I believe that the problem is that the case is handled by the Administration in Warsaw, but they need to check something with Silesian one. It happens, even though 2.5 years seem to be too long overall.
I wouldn’t worry, but the deadline may not be final. They love to extend it.
Confirmation of citizenship incloude many administration institutions, this is letter from “Mazowiecki Urząd Wojewódzki” they say that won’t make dedline in art. 35 point 3 (Załatwienie sprawy wymagającej postępowania wyjaśniającego powinno nastąpić nie później niż w ciągu miesiąca, a sprawy szczególnie skomplikowanej – nie później niż w ciągu dwóch miesięcy od dnia wszczęcia postępowania, zaś w postępowaniu odwoławczym – w ciągu miesiąca od dnia otrzymania odwołania.) – they have 1 month of time in case required investigation and 2 months in complicated cases, that they won’t get as they waiting for answer from “Śląski Urząd Wojewódzki” for information in investigation. They set date 30 July for themslef to finish case. You can send “ponaglenie” (official complaint that you want case speed up). And that by RODO – GDPR in english (data protecions law in EU) you can check all information on your case.
