New measures right before Christmas

  1. Restaurants in Luxembourg will have to close by 23:00 hrs and students
will have to wear masks in schools from next month, Luxembourg Prime
Minister Xavier Bettel said on Wednesday, as the country grapples with
the rapidly spreading Omicron variant of the coronavirus.

  2. Question: Will there be a 4th dose or second booster?

    Bettel: I’m not a doctor, I’m not a scientist.

    Lenert:
I’m not an expert myself. We follow the advice of our expert
committees. Maybe we will have Omicron tailored vaccines next year

  3. Question: Will there be mandatory vaccinations for healthcare workers and for the over 60s?

Bettel: Those discussions are still ongoing.

  4. It becomes way too complicated: 2G+ here, 2G there, 3G, exceptions if you wear masks, under 10 people no rules etc. How long will this shit still go on…

  5. Question: Will the large scale testing resume?

Lenert: No it wouldn’t make sense anymore. We don’t have unlimited resources. We don’t regret stopping it.

  6. **Novavax vaccine**

Bettel: New vaccine from Novavax will be delivered in January, 30,000 doses for Luxembourg in first quarter.

    **Vaccination centres**

Question: Are vaccination centres open over holidays?

Lenert: I don’t know, presumably they’ll stay open.

    **Mandatory vaccinations**

Bettel: In mid-Jan we will take a decision on mandatory vaccinations

Bettel: The experts say that if we don’t take new measure, there will be 1 million new cases a day.
Reporter: Mr. Bettel, your country doesn’t even have 1 million citizens.
    Bettel: Well, I don’t know, I’m not a statisticien.

  8. The government dropped the ball stating that testing yourself is a act of solidarity, mostly because it plays right into the anti-vax people which refused vaccines and tested pretty much for every possible activity. Thus, they were actually in the *right* despite the government shunning them for not getting vaccines.

  9. This doesn’t make sense anymore.

We don’t have an exit strategy, so what’s the plan? Like this we won’t prevent anything, we will just delay things to some later date.

If the health care sector of a country is on the verge of the collapse, despite of that fact that **over 80% of over 12 years old have been vaccinated** then the state simply hasn’t enough infrstructure.

Even a higher percentage of the vulnerable and old people has been vaccinated and quiete frankly there isn’t much we can do.

The pandemic will end one way or the other and it’s time to accept that people – especially unvaccinated ones – will die.

  10. These measures won’t achieve nothing and aren’t we already at like 70% of people who are vaccinated and cured? Stop all measures, now!

  11. There are 50 people in hospitals from or with covid currently. If the health sector is in collapse because of a bus of patients, we have a much bigger problem .

In bigger countries you can probably sell this shit that when Germany has 2000 covid patients that everything is collapsing, but please do not try and do this in a country with 50 patients. Fifty people. You have statistics every day.

So if a Luxembourg would have a bad Flixbus accident, apparently the entire healthcare system would totally collapse. Good to know.

I was vaccinated twice, recovered from covid even begore the vaccine as a joke, and they can go and put the booster you know where.

  12. Btw, lets also be clear, all these measures are because of Belgium, Germany and especially Netherlands bullshit and vaccine failure. All Western European countries have around 80, 85, 90 percent of vaccinated people above 12. There is absolutely no reason for any strict measure anymore, except that the narrative must continue.

Also, if we have all this still in place , is someone going to have guts to say the vaccines bought from big pharma were only a minor success and that they should do a better job , and not sell us this bullshit ?

Again – im a vaccinated person. For now. In 3 months I will be an antivaxxer.
