  1. Just read this and actually came here to post it. What an absolute scumbag. There must be some way to lock him up and throw away the key.

  2. Why on earth did he ask for a rent reduction for two months?! Was it really so important to save a few hundred quid, and he owning millions worth of assets?

  3. Cases like this show what an utter failure the eviction process is. Wankers like this can lock people in their kitchen, get some heavies to throw their gear out on the street and Airbnb the house and basically nothing is done.

The landlords who legitimately tried to evict him for 8 months now have to take a case to the RTB which will presumably take ages.

This guy should be facing multiple criminal charges.

  4. He needs to be disqualified from renting the same way we disqualify drivers. The gall of him to ask for a rent reduction too! I hope he’s driven out of Dublin

  5. Ban AirBnB, or at least boycott or review bomb, such a terrible website anyway, practically hotel price for lower quality.

  6. I really think there should be a more detailed investigation of where this guy’s money is coming from. His “company” is owned by Hesper SA, whose “headquarters” seem to be a residential house in Luxembourg.

The owner of Hesper SA is Robert Godart (I’m assuming his daddy), who is a private banker for Banque Internationale a Luxembourg (BIL), a Chinese-owned private bank with a history of large anti-money laundering fines.

  7. I mean surely with this much attention they might actually passing laws to actually give the RTB some teeth to deal with both problem tenants and landlords.
