Russian hackers targeting Western critical infrastructure, UK says

  1. “Some Russian hackers have stated a desire to achieve disruptive and destructive impacts against western critical infrastructure”

“We expect these groups to look for opportunities to deal such damages especially towards poorly protected systems”

“Succesful intense cyberattacks on critical infrastructure such as energy grids or water supply systems could be highly destructive and deal serious worldwide damage”

  2. We have in Denmark spotted a ship that’s mapping all our sea critical infrastructure… Kinda weird we let them do this.

  3. Just use referendums against the UK, they are very effective. The last referendum from 2016 was a colossal catastrophe and its still keeps giving.

  4. Rome public transport agency:
Website down due to russian hackers. Sorry for the inconvenience.

    Meanwhile in the city:
busses on fire, underground daily shut downs due to lack of maintenance, delays after delays, bloopers and swearing shouted through the stations speakers, drivers talking about how they call sick for years to be payed while having a second job, train conductors openly extending break time to chit chat while the entire rail line wait for them.

  5. Let me just say, I’ve been quite disappointed in Russian hackers. For years I was told that Russia had these elite hacking forces that would unleash an online inferno if there ever was a conflict.

It’s been very quiet so far.

  6. Important Question.

When does a cyber attack gets recognised as a foreign attack akin to a military or terrorist attack equal to a direct declaration of military conflict or a war…

Targeting Water, electricity infrastructure, internal infrastructure… Then what? Train management and airports?

You get what I mean.. that aren’t just disruptions, they often have physical effects too… And they are an attack.

So where is the breaking point?
