Met this guy whilst working in prison, he was oddly super nice and I was shocked to find out what he had done, would never of guessed.

Deserves the sentence but that’s longer then actual murders get , but given the demographics of the case it’s not a shock they thrown the book at him , I’m sure they will also make sure he ends up in a prison with a high Muslim population like they did with the guy who placed bacon on a Muslim temple door handle .

I’ve spent enough time on these subs to know that people complaining about prison sentences being too tough or not tough enough would fail a multiple choice tests on sentencing guidelines.

This kind of hate-fueled violence is completely unacceptable in our society, and it’s time for our justice system to take a stronger stance against it. A 28-year prison sentence is a step in the right direction, but I believe we need to go even further.
Attempted murder is a heinous crime, and when it’s motivated by racism, it’s even more disgusting. I think a life sentence is more appropriate for this kind of crime, along with a punishment like whipping to really drive home the severity of what was done.
And if this racist had succeeded in killing the Muslim security guard, I think the death penalty should absolutely be on the table. It’s time for our justice system to send a clear message that hate crimes will not be tolerated, and that there are serious consequences for those who engage in them.

i dont think you can say someone is a racist based on the actions of them when drunk and in a fit of rage.
like when you are drunk and angry at everyone you find the worst insults you can dish out but you dont really mean those insults.
