‘Some girls have come off social media…it’s not easy reading comments that we’re disappointed in our country’

  1. The anger should be directed at the IRFU not the players, they have no shortage of investment in the men’s game, yet the women are still amateurs who are often getting mauled by professionals and it’s just embarassing to be the best team in the world in the mens game then the womens team are an embarrassing shambles trying to keep the scoreboard down when they lose.

Full time professional contracts for the whole squad would immediately massively increase their competitiveness for starters, then they shouldn’t put everything into 7s too and we might get somewhere.

  2. Not being on social media should be normalised and not seen as some grandiose statement or weird behaviour.

The fucking amount of value people put on social media profiles is insane.

  3. This is the double edged sword of getting the attention in the game though. Can’t complain that not enough people are watching your sport and then that you don’t like the attention you get when they play badly. There’s always going to be cunts on the Internet that take it too far but that’s just how it is.
