Hello fellow friends!
As an astronomer and advocate of international dark sky association, i have dedicated myself protecting the beauty of the night sky in Cyprus.
I collect SQM and LUX data to create an annual map of Light Pollution, which serves as a valuable resource for the community. This research is just one aspect of my efforts to raise awareness about light pollution and its impact on the environment.
I am here to ask for your support for my new efforts about the impact of light pollution in Cyprus and
what we can do to reduce it. Support my efforts with a simple Subscribe. Listen my new podcast
“[The Dark Side of Lighting](https://www.youtube.com/aniprocs)” on [YouTube](http://www.youtube.com/aniprocs) and [Spotify](https://open.spotify.com/show/49Agbyozgw2cCkBMviBbwT)!
Join me and we’ll explore together the causes and types of light pollution, its impact on wildlife,
human health, and the economy, and successful examples of communities that have
reduced light pollution. I’ll also provide simple tips for reducing your own light pollution at home.
So, come along on this journey with me and let’s make a difference in protecting our night skies.
See you there!

Thank you guys, i appriciate it. I’ve already see some love
We could really use some light pollution legislation in CY. A while back I took this photo from the Enaerios pier in Limassol of a new LED advertisement billboard on the seafront? Why?? Who’s the intended audience? Sea turtles?

Not gonna lie mate, noyone cares
You’re lucky to have working lights, over here in the TRNC they dont even turn on the bloody street lights on the main roads! We can’t see shit over here!
Talk to local councils and law makers (try befriend them)
Or try create a large network of support to add pressure and create leverage
You know I thought this yesterday driving through Nicosia.
There’s a high-rise with blue leds on the side of it. They don’t half kick out some pollution 😬
