I feel like I’m hearing about so many teenagers committing murder recently.
What’s going on?
I used to live on the 3rd floor of one of those buildings just off tollgate road. If there was a fire anywhere below me I would have been trapped as there is no other way down. Very scary thought.
London, please don’t ever update the fire code.
Make sure that the official advice to anyone caught in a building fire is to stay inside and burn to death or suffocate from boiling hot smoke inhalation.
Make sure landlords never have to spend any extra money to ensure that there are multiple exits, because God forbid 1) we inconvenience rich people or 2) ruin the magnificence of old buildings.
Also, make sure to forever preserve the right of landlords and councils to cover their buildings in accelerants, so poor people burn faster. History–and covering up ugly council estates–is so important.
