A smart comment there from somebody with an in-depth knowledge of military strategy.
What training would an expert like you recommend?
They stretched the budget with the three mock weapons! La Di dah
What difference does it make? Water is water. Who cares if they have mock guns? Do you want them spray painted black for “maximum effect” or something? 😆
Anyone remember the defence forces video with them tap dancing lads 🤣
You’ve made that judgement based off a single photo even though it’s similar training that other militarys around the world do…
One of the reasons that they use resin copy is the sights are optical on a real rifle and are zeroed for each person and are expensive to buy so they try and avoid fucking them up . It is tax payers money after all
Physical proficiency and water survival training is a core part of training for any branch of the military. Jumping into water with fatigues, boots, rifle and associated kit is not easy.
Don’t know how they would be based out of Collins Barracks, that closed in 1997.
OP suspiciously quiet in the comments section I see.
Those fake guns weigh the same as a loaded Steyr Aug. Trying to keep one of those over your head while treading water in in full fatigues and boots is no easy task I can assure you.
Go do it and see are you of the same opinion after.

Collin’s barracks closed down about 25 years ago.

Glad to see you’re getting appropriately pulled up over such an idiotic comment.
Stay in school, kids. Don’t be like OP.
That pool fills me with horrors; it’s where I learned to swim
