Lot of people say “Bratislava is just max.for 1 day, unlike Prague or Budapest”.
Bratislava is the third greenest capital in Europe (for nature, not being eco). Hills, deep forests, lakes, Danube river, etc.
They have nice monuments, but Little Carpathians is something else.
Devínska Kobyla, Železná Studnička, Rusovce, Sandberg, Lužné lesy, Horský park, Koliba, Kamzík, etc.
5 lakes.
Forests everywhere.
You can spend at least 3 days hiking.
My favourite city to visit when travelling through central Europe. The historic centre is gorgeous, and the sights in the city are walkable….and like others mentioned, the greater metro includes great historic and nature features, all easily accessible. I also love it isn’t stuffed to the gills with tourists (Prague feels overrun)
Thoughts about making it to the next paycheck while riding the metro.
kozy
That used to be the playground where I spent most of my afternoons as a schoolboy.
