Today on 20th of April in 1889 in Austria-Hungary was born a boy named Adolf Hitler, who would become one of the most evil and infamous dictator. He would have been 134 years old today.

  9. Recently I was curious about him as painter and why he wasn’t accepted to art school. What I learned was kinda interesting.

    His paintings were the epitome of okay, nothing particularly awful but truly uninspired at the same time. That’s to say, they were boring.

    While reading more about them, I learned that one of the teachers at the academy thought while his work as an artist didn’t merit admittance, his paintings of the various landmarks around Vienna did show promise as an architect and encouraged him to pursue that as a career.

    That vocation, though, would have required going back to school to meet the academic prerequisites of an architecture program. So instead he set forth on the path that would eventually lead to global war and the deaths of tens of millions of people.

  21. **FUN FACT:** Hitler wasn’t an anti-semite before WW1, when he worked with Reinhold Hanisch selling paintings in Austria (At the time of the men’s home) Hitler admired Jews and he claimed “they were the best and most honest clients”, he also had a close jewish friend, Josef Neuman, with whom he traveled back to his childhood home to plead his aunt for some money (Hitler lied to his aunt, he claimed he got accepted to Vienna’s art school and asked her for some money to “help him during his studies” very often)

    It is believed Hitler became a virulent anti-semite somewhere after 1916 during his hospitalization following his wounds of WW1, probably he fell victim to the “stab in the back” propaganda campaign and hated Jews ever since.

    According to Hanisch Hitler also often defended Jews when they were targeted by the Men’s Home “intellectuals” and claimed in one occasion that he admired Jews for their national “coherence” (i don’t exactly remember the quote but he admired that Jews sticked together no matter what)

    Also we have no idea what Hitler did during the Bavarian Communist uprising but since he was an army man and had no other life outside the Army some believe he actually helped the revolution in its early stages, so yeah, Hitler probably fought for the Bavarian Soviets for a short amount of time.

    I recently came across a message that was sent to my mom and a few others in her church by a Catholic bishop. It was accompanied by a photo of shirtless Putin on a horse with a swastica bit in the horses mouth.
    He was comparing Putin’s supposed awesomeness to the “theif in chief” (Obama – this was toward the end of 2016).
    He said “he rides, he hunts he fishes…and check out the politically incorrect bridle.”

    I’ve yelled at that bishop before but his lovely cowardice has him avoiding me in public.

    But Christ almighty I can’t even at this point…

    Pretty sure if there IS a god, if there IS a Christ who is returning, I know some of the first people he will wipe off the face of the earth.

  25. Hard to believe he even lived that long, just like FDR or Stalin in the first place.

    It’s ironic how not caring about somebody struggling or a minority, can lead to people like this who’ve no mercy for others and just want to see the world burn because of their own trauma and hurt.
