What I don’t understand is why the landlord decided to put a full decked out kitchen in this rental. I see it all the time with tiny studios with a family-size kitchen. When I lived in France in a tiny studio there was a sofa-bed, a little kitchenette corner (1-burner hob, mini-fridge, and microwave and sink), and a desk and wardrobe. I feel it would make better sense here to only have a small kitchenette and use the rest of the space to add a clothes drawer or just a bit more space. Likewise get a storage bed from Ikea and don’t have 2 armchair, nobody is bringing guests here, better to use the space for something else. Just in general people who rent out studios make them way worse than they need to be for the square footage.

Well if it’s any consolidation, they’ve actually put the price down. This place was 1,000/month a few weeks ago.

That’s not even a kitchen, it’s a fucking front hall that some slumlord crammed a hob and a bed into. What a disgrace.

The worst thing is that the living room is probably also kitted out as a ‘studio’ and the bedrooms are probably lined with bunkbeds. The ‘landlord’ is probably fleecing several people and taking advantage of the housing shortage. Disgraceful.
