There’s plenty of beauty here and thankfully the pros outweigh the cons. Not sure I can say the same for the mainland anymore.
Only three weeks and I move there.
Gozo is still beautiful. I moved here and it feels like a holiday every day compared to Malta.
However vultures already started circling and construction increased tenfold in the past couple of years.
It’s a question of time. The developers have already started the cannibalisation process. Cranes are becoming part of the scenery now. They have raped Malta, Gozo is next. Very sad!

The North of Malta isn’t too far from it as well 🙂 I’m from the southeast, and I always love going to places like Rabat to experience some nature
But Gozo is by far the best choice for something like that
