    Their best-case scenario for December 1st was 1,000 people in hospital with Covid. That day arrived and the actual figure was less than half that, in spite of relentless scolding from Micháel Martin and Tony Holohan about people’s complacency and laxness in following guidelines. It seems NPHET have a track record of making projections which are “wrong by a colossal margin altogether”.
