    Het is niet omdat je zelf je handen niet vuil maakt dat je geen verantwoordelijkheid hebt naar je aanhang toe en over de woorden en gedachten die je ze voedt!

    Je kan lid worden van zijn clubje en dan ben je ofwel een rekruut, een strijder of een veteraan met wapens zichtbaar in de icoontjes ervoor. Klinkt heel vredig en ziet er heel vredig uit natuurlijk. Is maar symbolisch voor de strijd die ze voeren, toch?

    De gevolgen van zulk taaltje?

    Brandstichting in asielcentrum om nadien als vrije vogel in Brussel met je pickup met vlag en nazi symbolen te rijden tijdens een protest van een bepaalde partij, complottheorie waardoor je met wapens naar een pretpark rijdt, plannen van terreuraanslagen tegen bijvoorbeeld virologen, noem maar op.

    Maar dat komt zeker niet door een ideologie. Dan zijn het plots geen “terreurnetwerken” of “terreurgroepen”. Dan is het plots geen ideologie van haat en geweld. Nee, “wij zijn vredig” is dan de toon!

    Heb ik al gezegd dat ik het heb gehad met dat soort figuren? En toch maak ik weer veel te veel woorden vuil aan dat soort “waste of oxygen figuren”! Zucht, …

  10. Something similar happened at Ugent a few months ago, and honestly, it confuses me…

    Are universities not supposed to teach stuff unbiased and be neutral? Then why the heck do they allow/ask politicians to speak in front of an auditorium?

  14. The S&V nazis definitely started throwing punches, and yes they are nazis (read below).

    I was there as leftist protester, what I saw is, some leftist protesters came up to confront these S&V people, before DrieSS even showed his face. One of these leftist protesters threw some softdrink (not the can, the liquid) onto them. Probably before the altercation, but it was definitely the S&V people that started actually fighting.

    That being said, I’m sick of people with a serious mainstream platform taking this “unruly leftist mob” talking point as a cheap excuse to just not address the elephant in the room anymore.

    Which is: thinly veiled neo nazis spreading their horrible ideology quite openly, including:

    * wearing collaboration movement colors openly (NSV wears third reach red white and black, and sometimes orange white and blue, which is the Verdinaso colours
    * the “remigration” agenda: meaning, the ENTIRE migrant community has to be “removed somehow”, meaning doesnt matter how many generations back your family came here
    * **specifically** applying this agenda to people from families with origins in Africa and in Arabian speaking countries, painting them culturally **and** racially as the bad guys
    * planning a cantus where they will sing Freikorps songs (those guys that loved to beat up socialists and then became the SS)
    * harrassing people at lbgtq+ events for, well, being lbgtq+ rights advocates

    This is all quite clear from their own publications, as it is full of references to just nazism, and to the works of “great replacement/remigration” guru Renaud Camus (whom Dewinter invites to speak in the Flemish parliament early in May, which is normal I guess)
